Function and Usage
KG Piston Seal is a two way rectangular combination seal which is made by a Filled PTFE Slip Ring and an O Ring elastomer. The O Ring provides sufficient preload, and also, compensating action to the wear of the slip ring.
With the low friction, excellent wear resistance, and the special geometric design of the PTFE Slip Ring, the resistance to extrusion is perfect. The KG two way rectangular piston seal is used for controlling cylinder, service system, machine tool, quick action cylinder and the bidirectional piston cylinder in the building machine.

Material
Standard usage
Slip Ring Material: Filled PTFE   Our Material Code: T605
O Ring Material: Nitrile Rubber (NBR)   Our Material Code: N800
Combination Code: T605N
 
If the working condition is under high temperature or chemical resistant medium, we suggest to use FKM (Fluoro Rubber) for the O Ring, Our Material Code: F800, Combination Code: T605F.
 
If the working condition is under low temperature, we suggest to use low temperature resistance Nitrile Rubber (NBR) for the O Ring, Our Material Code: NV705, Combination Code: T605NV.
 
Technical Data
Working Pressure: ≤40MPa
Speed: ≤0.5m/s  
Working Temperature:-35℃ to +200℃ (Refer to the different material of the O Ring)
Working Medium: Mineral hydraulic oil, flame retardant hydraulic oil, environmental safety hydraulic oil (bio oil), water and other media (depending on the O Ring material)
Tips: Limit value of the above data, can not be used at the same time. The maximum working pressure depends on the type of material, the pressure, the temperature, the gap, and etc.. In actual usage, due to the mutual influence of working parameters, the maximum value setting is lower.
 
Installation
Groove: Both Closed and Opened (Open type groove is recommended for the limit diameter and limit cross section.)
In order to avoid the damage of the seals, during the installation, the seals should be leave away with the shape edge of the parts and tools. The sharp edges and burr in the installation area of the seal must be removed. During the installation, need to avoid the twist of the O ring.

When the pressure is more than 40MPa, it is recommended to reduce the extrusion gap, or please contact with us for the best sealing solution.
