KDAS Piston Seals

Function and Usage
KDAS Piston Seal is a two way combination seal which is made by a rubber elestomer, two back ups, and two guide rings. The sealing effect under both dynamic and static are perfect. The special design of the sealing surface reduces the sliding friction force to prevent dry friction and prolong the service life;The back up anti-impact, can prevent the rubber elastic body is extruded to the seal’s gap; The guide ring performances the role of supporting and guiding. The compact design of the KDAS combination seal is easy to install, save space. It is widely used in low speed and high pressure hydraulic cylinder, such as vertical cylinder, amplitude cylinder, outrigger cylinder,the press machine cylinder and drive cylinder of industry and walking equipment, double action piston in supporting cylinder and operating cylinder.

Material
Elestomer, Material: Nitrile Rubber (NBR)   Our Material Code: N801
Z type Back Up Material: Thermoplastic   Our Material Code: M700
L type Guide Ring Material: POM   Our Material Code: S805
Combination Code: N8MS
 
If the working condition is under low temperature, we suggest to use low temperature resistance Nitrile Rubber (NBR) for the elestomer, Our Material Code: NV705, Combination Code: NV9MS.
 
Technical Data
Working Pressure: ≤40MPa
Speed: ≤0.5m/s  
Working Temperature：-35℃ to +100℃ 
Working Medium: Mineral hydraulic oil,fire resistant hydraulic oil, HFA, HFB, HFC, and etc.
Tips: Limit value of the above data, can not be used at the same time. The maximum working pressure depends on the type of material, the pressure, the temperature, the gap, and etc.. In actual usage, due to the mutual influence of working parameters, the maximum value setting is lower.
 
Installation
Groove: Both Closed and Opened (Open type groove is recommended for the limit diameter and limit cross section.)
In order to avoid the damage of the seals, during the installation, the seals should be leave away with the shape edge of the parts and tools. The sharp edges and burr in the installation area of the seal must be removed. Installation sequence: Elestomer--Back Up--Guide Ring, should to ensure that the guide ring and back up’s opening configuration position are staggered.
