KAQ Piston Seals

Function and Usage
KAQ Piston Seal is a two way combination seal. It is consisted by a PTFE slip ring, a quad ring, and two O rings as force element or one rectangle rubber elestomer .It combines the low friction properties of the PTFE material, and the good sealing performance of the rubber elastomer. This design greatly reduces the friction and minimizes the leakage. KAQ Piston Seal is mainly used for hydraulic walking device cylinder, crane cylinder, accumulator cylinder, standard cylinder, and heavy duty suspension cylinder.

Material
Elestomer Material: Nitrile Rubber (NBR)   Our Material Code: N800
Slip Ring Material: Filled PTFE   Our Material Code: T605
Quad Ring Material: Polyurethane   Our Material Code: P902
Combination Code: N8TP
 
If the working condition is under high temperature and chemical resistant medium, we suggest to use FKM for the elestomer and quad ring , Our Material Code: F800  Combination Code: F8TF
 
If the working condition is under low temperature, we suggest to use low temperature resistance Nitrile Rubber (NBR) for the elestomer and quad ring , Our Material Code: NV705, Combination Code: NV7TN
 
Technical Data
Working Pressure: ≤40MPa
Speed: ≤3m/s  
Working Temperature：-45℃ to +200℃ (Refer to the material of O Ring and Quad Ring)
Working Medium: All ordinary hydraulic oils, including bio oil and gas.
Tips: Limit value of the above data, can not be used at the same time. The maximum working pressure depends on the type of material, the pressure, the temperature, the gap, and etc.. In actual usage, due to the mutual influence of working parameters, the maximum value setting is lower.
 
Installation
Groove: Both Closed and Opened (Open type groove is recommended for the limit diameter and limit cross section.)
In order to avoid the damage of the seals, during the installation, the seals should be leave away with the shape edge of the parts and tools. The sharp edges and burr in the installation area of the seal must be removed. During the installation, need to avoid the twist of the O ring.

 When the pressure is more than 40MPa, it is recommended to reduce the extrusion gap, or please contact with us for the best sealing solution.
