Function and Usage
KT Piston Seal is a two way combination seal which are consisted by two guide rings, one rubber elastomer and one Filled PTFE slip ring. The guide ring positioning and guidance; The rubber elastomer provides the preload, and also, compensate to the wear of the slip ring. The guide ring are designed with a Oblique opening, it is easy to install. The standard KT Piston Seal is mainly used in the high pressure and heavy load hydraulic cylinder, such as metallurgy, water and electricity, etc.

Material
Elestomer Material: Nitrile Rubber (NBR)   Our Material Code: N802
Slip Ring Material: Filled PTFE   Our Material Code: T605
Guide Ring Material: Filled POM  Our Material Code: S802
Combination Code: N8TS
 
If the working condition is under low temperature, we suggest to use low temperature resistance Nitrile Rubber (NBR) for the elestomer , Our Material Code: NV705, Combination Code: NVTS
 
If the working condition is under high temperature, we suggest to use FKM for the elestomer , Our Material Code: F800, for the guide ring we suggest to use filled PTFE, Our Material Code: T605
 
Technical Data
Working Pressure: ≤50MPa
Speed: ≤1m/s  
Working Temperature：-35℃ to +200℃ 
Working Medium: Mineral hydraulic oil
Tips: Limit value of the above data, can not be used at the same time. The maximum working pressure depends on the type of material, the pressure, the temperature, the gap, and etc.. In actual usage, due to the mutual influence of working parameters, the maximum value setting is lower.
 
Installation
Groove:Closed
In order to avoid the damage of the seals, during the installation, the seals should be leave away with the shape edge of the parts and tools. The sharp edges and burr in the installation area of the seal must be removed.
Installation sequence: Elestomer--Sealing Body--Guide Ring, should to ensure that the guide ring and back up’s opening configuration position are staggered. The special design of the concave guide ring requires a high tolerance of the mating surface of the components.
