GS Rod Seals
Function and Usage
GS Rod Seal is a combination seal which are combined by a PTFE Slip Ring and an O Ring elastomer. AS an elastomer the O Ring can provide sufficient sealing preload, and also, provide the compensation effect of the PTFE Slip Ring wearing. The advantage of the PTFE material is low friction coefficient and excellent wear resistance, the special geometrical design of the PTFE Slip Ring makes the wiper good at anti extrusion. At the same time, the residual oil film on the piston rod has the function of "pumping back". Can effectively restrain the "trapped pressure" phenomenon in the series seal configuration. GS Rod Seal is especially suitable for the hydraulic cylinder of the construction machinery, control cylinder, servo system, machine tool, quick response cylinder, and etc.

Material
Standard usage
Sealing Body Material: Filled PTFE  Our Material Code: T605
O Ring Material: Nitrile Rubber (NBR)   Our Material Code: T605
Combination Code: T605N
 
If the working condition is under high temperature or chemical resistant medium, we suggest to use FKM (Fluoro Rubber) O Ring, Our Material Code: F800, Combination Code: T605F.
 
If the working condition is under low temperature, we suggest to use low temperature resistant rubber, Our Material Code: NV705, Combination Code: T605NV.
 
Technical Data
The Standard GS Rod Seal is suitable for the hydraulic cylinders of the construction machinery, machine tool, injection machine, pressing machine, and etc.
Working Pressure: 40MPa
Speed:≤5m/s
Working Temperature:-40℃ to +200℃ (Refer to the material of the o ring)
Working Medium: Hydraulic oil, emulsion, water
Tips: Limit value of the above data, can not be used at the same time. The maximum working pressure depends on the type of material, the pressure, the temperature, the gap, and etc.. In actual usage, due to the mutual influence of working parameters, the maximum value setting is lower.
 
Installation
Groove: Both Closed and Opened (Open type groove is recommended for the limit small diameter and limit cross section.)
In order to avoid the damage of the seals, during the installation, the seals should be leave away with the shape edge of the parts and tools. The sharp edges and burr in the installation area of the seal must be removed. During the installation, need to avoid the twist of the O ring.

When the pressure is more than 40MPa, it is recommended to reduce the extrusion gap, or please contact with us for the best sealing solution.
