Function and Usage
GK Rod Seal is combined by a shaft seal and a special shaped rubber sealing ring, the special shaped rubber sealing ring performs the sealing function, and also, provides the preload and wear compensation to the shaft seal. Under the working condition, the system pressure is acting on the special shaped sealing ring, which increases the radial contact stress between the dynamic lip and the piston rod. Under the high pressure, the shaft seal can effectively resist the pressure of the system. GK Rod Seal in general used together with the GFAI and GFI seal.

Material
Standard usage
Special Shaped Rubber Sealing Ring Material: Nitrile Rubber (NBR) Our Material Code: N900
Shaft Seal Material:Filled PTFE Our Material Code: T605
Combination Code: N900T
If the working condition is under high temperature or chemical resistant medium, we suggest to use FKM (Fluoro Rubber) for the sealing body, Our Material Code: F900, Combination Code: F900T.
Technical Data
The Standard GK Rod Seal is mainly used for the hydraulic cylinder for walking equipment.
Working Pressure: ≤45MPa
Speed: ≤1m/s
Working Temperature:-35℃ to +200℃
Working Medium: Mineral hydraulic oil, emulsion, water and other media
Tips: Limit value of the above data, can not be used at the same time. The maximum working pressure depends on the type of material, the pressure, the temperature, the gap, and etc.. In actual usage, due to the mutual influence of working parameters, the maximum value setting is lower.
Installation
Groove: Both Closed and Opened (Open type groove is recommended for the limit diameter and limit cross section.)
In order to avoid the damage of the seals, during the installation, the seals should be leave away with the shape edge of the parts and tools. The sharp edges and burr in the installation area of the seal must be removed.
