Function and Usage
GYW Rod Seal’s special sliding section design with scattered arrangement through the pumping path on the back of the dynamic seal , which provides perfect reverse pumping capacity in the entire pressure range. When it is dynamic, the sliding section also has a good friction and sealing characteristics of the micro structure, which not only improves the sealing capacity of the sealing ring, but also ensure the stability of the lubricating oil film on the sliding surface , reducing the dynamic friction.
 
Sliding Friction Characteristic
The friction between 2.5Mpa to 10Mpa on the standard Y type sealing ring will be increased, but the GYW Rod Seal’s special structure improved the pressure distribution on the piston rod, limited the increase of the friction, the sliding friction is more less than standard Y type seal during reciprocating motion.
 
Sealing Characteristic
The outer diameter and groove bottom diameter interference fit, the special shape of the two trimmed sealing lip mouth in a wide range of pressure, control the pressure distribution and hydraulic reverse pumping capacity to ensure good sealing performance.
 
Advantage
--In the series design, it is suitable to work together with the GS buffer seal as the second seal
--The friction resistance is less than the standard Y type seal
--Less heat than the standard Y type seal
--Good resistance to extrusion
--Good stability in the groove

Tips: Limit value of the above data, can not be used at the same time. The maximum working pressure depends on the type of material, the pressure, the temperature, the gap, and etc.. In actual usage, due to the mutual influence of working parameters, the maximum value setting is lower.
 
Installation
Groove: Both Closed and Opened (Open type groove is recommended for the limit diameter and limit cross section.)
In order to avoid the damage of the seals, during the installation, the seals should be leave away with the shape edge of the parts and tools. The sharp edges and burr in the installation area of the seal must be removed.
